Angry bloggers

Why are so many bloggers so angry? Alan Jacobs, English professor from my alma mater Wheaton College, comments on the anger of bloggers and what it means for discourse. This is particularly significant for organizations who find themselves the target of this anger.

My question, in a world that resists rules, formats, restrictions and etiquette–will this change?

  1. Yea. I’m amazed at all the poison in the Bloggs. It seems like such a good place to get information and exchange ideas. I think some of the anger thing comes from the fact that posters don’t sit face to face and talk. I guess it’s easier to blow off steam if you’re not doing it in person.
